It looks like you have a process running on the local machine that is trying to connect to the database but is most likely failing because it is either not supplying the password or supplying the wrong one. You will need to track this process down and fix it's password or disable the call. One thing you could do is set max_connection_errors to a small number (default is 100). Once the number of failed connections exceeds that number, the host will no longer be allowed to connect. That may help you find what process is throwing an error. I have 20 years of experience with MySQL on Linux and about half that with MariaDB (it's only been around for about 10), and two MySQL certifications from Oracle. I'm reasonably confident I can get to the bottom of this.
