Today I develop models to determine grinding machine operating parameters by product geometry. Operating parameters are stored in a database for download into machine tool controllers. Product geometry data is stored in a seperate database. Based on in process sensor measurements of machine tool force, vibration, and work piece size, I would like to use algorithms to automatically update in near real time machine operating parameters to maximize production efficiency. When the part is made again the latest version of the learned model would be the starting point. When a part number that has never been made before is to be made, I would like an algorithm to consider similar part geometries and existing operating parameters to self create new operating parameters
