I have a page: [url removed, login to view]
Its a product I have developed myself.
Theres not much competition in the field - in fact, theres really nothing exactly like it.
I am not a hype guy. Its just a good product.
As you can see, its not for the general public. Its for professionals, who want to learn another skillset and thereby be able to get more clients.
Its a one off sale. Its a self-study course, I dont need to be involved at all. They order it off the website, and then I will put in place a process for it to be sent out to them.
Its not a fun time, recreational or lifestyle product. Its a professoinal product. Its not $29, its $1250.
I am thinking about how to sell it. I dont want to do email mailouts, build up a big list, etc. I am thinking either some form of direct, targeted marketing to the potential market (coaches, therapists, counsellors), or perhaps affiliate marketing, though eventually, that would be the same market they would need to target.
I want to emphasise - this is not a product that gets sold to just anyone. The purchaser needs to have skills in working with people already. Its not an 'all things for all people' product.
So the market is a niche market. But its still fairly big.
The marketing to them needs to be direct, and interest them in coming to the website, where hopefully they will be convinced to buy the product, or have a question session with me.
If I you engaged you, what would be your strategy?
If I sell 5 a week, I would be happy. My aims are modest. If I sell 10 a week, I would be over the moon.
I dont have a big budget. I am just me, managing my business, you know, doing ok, but not flush.
I have been developing and using this system for a long time, but only sold it to my students and a few others so far. Its pretty well ready to go.
So, I want to engage someone who can help generate sales. Social media. I have a facebook page, with 100 followers. That is not going to generate my sales. LinkedIn? Maybe. Some people seem to think thats a way to go. I have lots of Linked in connections, and I guess potential other ones. Someone suggested make my Linkedin page a kind of squeeze/direction to take people to my webpage, for sales. Look, if you can achieve sales through social media, great, but dont tell me how many likes you can get for me. I am only interested in results - sales.
I designed my webpage myself (I told you I am low budget). I think its ok, but can always be improved.
My interest is not talk but results. If you can get me results - sales, then I am interested.
Tell me how you would do this
Please dont just send general outlines of what you can do on social media. I am not interested.
I am more likely to make this a commission based project - say 10% of a sale going to you, and people coming through you would get a 5% discount. So please think in these kind of terms.
And please dont just send me your profile. I am more interested in your ability to cold-generate leads and therefore sales. My FB following is very small, and I dont do Twitter. You are not going to be able to mine my current circles for sales. You will need to be able to go wide, to develop strategies that individually interest potential coaches.
