OpenFire Server setup and configuration for a mobile IM
$30-250 USD
Paid on delivery
We are building a chat application very similar to WhatsApp, Viber, etc. using open source software. For server side, we would configure OpenFire ([login to view URL]). It is a Jabber Server on Java platform. On client side, it would be done using Native language (Java and iOS).
We want someone to setup and configure OpenFire to an external DB and before doing so, analyse our server details and suggest for the location of OpenFire, Media Server and DB location.
You would not do any code modifications to server (mostly configuration changes after install). Just install software and make it up and running. You would also install and configure LDAP (OpenLDAP) to work with OpenFire (it supports).
We are anticipating around 30,000 concurrent users, hence your configuration had to be done accordingly using roosters and connection managers.
If your work is as expected, we will contact you again in a short span of time to make the server software and database accommodate more users. You'll be required to produce and submit a documentation describing the steps and configuration log for our records.
