We are a small IoT startup working on different devices that monitors the temperature of refrigerators. We are working with an open-source server for the backend called Blynk. We used to use the provided mobile app by Blynk but now we need to change this. We have native Java mobile application source code that works with servers other than our uusing RESTful API calls to get data and sketch it using 3rd party libraries. Data requests from the app are made with Retrofit. The graph is displayed using AChartEngine (a charting library for Android). The third party libraries used are Retrofit (used for API requests), Butterknife (used for view injection), AChartEngine (used to display the report graph) and Cupboard (will be used to cache data locally).
What we are looking for to be done is something very simple and listed below:
1. We will make minor changes to the interface of the app that we already have as it shows more information than what we need to show to the user.
2. We need different API calls to our own servers, the server API documentation is very clear and straight forward.
3. Add a new page for registration, login and to facilitate the provisioning process of adding a new device to the list where temperature will be shown.
This project is an initial seed for a bigger cooperation and long term work to be done in the future after this milestone, so if you are applying please tell us whether you will be available for future work on the same project or not.
