Development of a community-building website -- 2

This project is for a web application for capturing genealogy information as well as pictures, videos, and audio files.

The application will be hosted in AWS and should take advantage of the AWS services (authentication, data storage, etc.)

Language is less important, but good architecture, security, performance, and maintainability are required.

User Functionality

1. Create account

2. Create profile (picture, public information, private information (visible only within groups))

3. Delete profile

4. Join groups

5. Create hierarchical relationships with other members of the group

6. Create new group(s)

7. Add articles (stories) to the group

8. Add pictures, videos (YouTube link), audio files to the group

9. Tag myself in pictures

10. Add comments to article

11. Agree (thumbs up) or disagree (thumbs down) with posted articles

12. Flag articles as untrue

Site Moderator Functionality

1. Review / approve newly registered users

2. Delete inappropriate content

Group Moderator Functionality

1. Review / approve user joining the group

2. Remove user from group(s) if needed

3. Add new users to the group

4. Approve articles (stories) for publication

5. Tag other users in pictures

6. Validate authenticity or veracity of articles (stories) flagged as untrue

7. Receive notification when new users or new stories are added to the group

8. Link multiple groups (create group of groups)

Other Site Functionality

1. Display groups and their description in a searchable way (geographically, by time, by name)

2. Display members of selected group

3. Display relationships between members of the group

4. Display relationships of selected member with members of the group or with other groups

5. Display chronologically the articles for the group.

6. Display the pictures of the group and the tagged members
