84142 Domain Resolve Checker

Here's the game plan. I would like to have a script written that will convey the following. ADMINISTRAITON: 1. Owner records are entered with the following information: --Owner - First & Last Name --Domain Name --Username & Password --Email Address 2. This script will ping the domain using a winsock test to port 80. If site pings back, the script must be able to verify that the ping is coming from a certain server (based on IP address check). 3. Upon successful ping verification, an email will be sent to the owner stating that their web hosting account is now active. This email is to include the owners first and last name, domain name, username and password in certain areas of the email to make the email unique to thier domain name. 4. An email also shall be sent to the hosting provider to alert them that the domain is resolving. At the same time, it must remove this domain name from the job run and store it in a completed resolve accounts section for statistics. REPORTING: 1. One area of reporting that keeps track of time. Start time = date and time entered into database. End time = resolve time. To be sorted by resolve time. Will only accept the script written in PHP using MySQL as the database. I am sure this will need to invoke the use of a CRON job to run a script. The job must be a small script, if needed, as to not overload the server. Cron job to be ran every 8 - 12 hours (but this is setup on the server side). OTHER AREAS: This script will primarily be used to automate the process of checking to see if a domain name is resolved before sending out information to a client with instructions on how to use their web host space. There should be an area keeping track of all domains entered into database.
