This should be a fairly easy project for a competent web developer. I need two web pages, content only. The first page is a stock screener used to locate companies for investment. The user will select various parameters to use to narrow down the choices of company. The second is a detail page which allows the user to select various parameters and see a graphic visualization of the data. This page will use sliders, pie, column and / or column charts to visualize the data. Dials and gauges are also an option. The project is to be done in ASP .net 4.0, C# code behind, SQL Server 2008 database. I am really only interested in the visual components and enough code to make interfacing with the database efficient. I also am not interested in the master page or other supporting pages. I just need the content pages.

## Deliverables

Page 1: Stock Screener

This page is to consist of a header area, body area and footer. See screenshots [url removed, login to view] and [url removed, login to view] for a guide. (These images are wireframe mockups to be used as a design aid.) Each of the components in the body is a user control. The page will contain a set of default controls as shown. The user can also select more by using the Add Additional Criteria button at the top of the page.

Each control has three sections. The leftmost is the title section. The center contains various selector buttons or lists used to filter the data. The right section contains a sum total of the number of companies that meet the criteria selected by the control in the left column. As more criteria are selected, each control will narrow the number of companies until the user is satisfied that there are enough companies to be able to make a final selection(s). When the user clicks View Matches, a list of the companies meeting the criteria will be displayed.

The controls fall into two groups: One contains a series of buttons that will filter the data. The second contains a list box. The box is divided into two parts. On the left is a group of buttons used to filter the list. The right half contains a list of items that fall within the criteria defined by the button on the left. There is also a check box next to each item that will limit the choices to companies that fall within the sector or industry. (Sectors are large groups. Industries are smaller groups within each sector)

The images shown are only a guide for functionality. You are free to suggest alternate designs and methodologies. The important part is the ability to select from a list of stocks and narrow the choices down by various business rules. See the image Demo1 for some of the business rules that may be needed.

Page 2: Visualization

When the user selects a company from the list supplied by the Screener, the visualization page will open. This page displays a set of criteria so that the company can be measured against the rest of the community of companies. Although only sliders and one dial are shown, I also need to have the option of displaying some of the items as pie or other charts. These can all be done with standard MS components.

There should be a set of default controls shown when the page opens. The user should also be able to add or remove others in a manner similar to the Stock Screener. So essentially, we have three or four user controls and multiple instances of them placed on the page.

Other additional controls can be added to the design. This is up to you. I am very much open to suggestions and alternate approaches.

Some of the properties of the controls:

Drag and Drop to page or select from a list

Controls can be moved around the page to be organized to the customers' desire

Resizable where feasible

Although the pages look complicated at first, they are actually made up of a limited number of controls, so the project should not be too difficult to complete.
