This project is for an IM messaging system. We would prefer to work with a firm who has already worked on a similar project. There will be one server-side system install and multiple client-side components - each associated with a singular site (banner ads derived from that particular site, along with logos, title and gallery links, etc.). No .net. Selected programmer will either have to embed logo into hundreds of client downloads or figure out a way to connect that copy of the client to a particular domain. In the alternative, programmer can teach me how to set up new clients to use when we launch a new domain site. System must be powerful enough to handle 100,000 connections (and be expandable). And system must work efficiently so it doesn't waste/drain server resources. No server crashes. We are very open to suggestions for this project. We will own copyright/resale rights to all scripts created for us. The server program will be uploaded once, but it will be connected to many clients (which are outwardly personalized to that particular domain - the banner ads for domainA will come from businesses in domainA). Clients from all of my domains will be able to talk with one another.
