Ink control

I am looking for a proof of concept demo I can show in-house to generate interest in a project. Web application .NET C# Client is Windows XP Tablet PC edition. IE6-7 We have a database driven web application that displays an ink control with a background form where we can use the pen and write on the Motion tablet and the ink data is saved to MSSQL Server. There are also standard combo and text boxes on the web page. The problem is that the ink control is like a drawing canvas. The space that it covers can not be used for a standard control. I would like you to do a simple Name address city state zip type form. In the same form I would like to be able to use ink to fill in the blanks or use the keyboard and type to fill in the blanks. Zip would be a drop down control the rest would be text boxes. This project has two challenges: 1. How do you get a standard control to be “inside?? an ink control? Maybe it can be on a top layer and positioned with css? Maybe you can find an ink control that will let you inbed “child controls??. To show that this problem was solved with the above name and address form I should be able to type the name and address and use ink to circle one of the items and ink a note in the “margin??. This would prove that the standard control at least looks like it is on the ink canvas. 2. What if some of my users want to ink the name and address and some what to type it. The standard controls have to be able to be activated or de-activated depending the desires of the user. If the standard control is activated and filled in, then deactivated, what happens to the typed data. Is de-activation disallowed if data is entered or is the data inserted into the ink control? ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). ## Platform As you can see the interaction can be rather tricky. We just what to see what is possible. Maybe you have already solved this problem with another project. Maybe the solution is some fancy Javascript with CSS. Maybe you know of or have written a special control that will help. Maybe flash is the answer. For persistence don’t worry about a database for the demo of course. Only one record is necessary save the data to a flat file and read it back in on reload. Ink data is saved however ink data is saved, I’m not a programmer but I suspect it is just binary data. Standard control data is saved as regular text. I am interested in the integration of the text and dropdown controls with the ink control in the same canvas. If you know the answer but need more money pitch me. I’m funding this out of my personal funds so I’m just looking for proof of concept so I can get real funding. The programmers here say it can not be done
