help integrating javascript/node.js into php (betfair new api)

Trying to integrate a javascript/json call from php with node.js installed but having issue with
var https=requre('https') which result in the error
to place bet on betfair new api
same method is working with using plain php/curl but need to have the attached sample working in my script.
