Plug-in to manage and view ebooks

Develop a plug-in to an oscommerce existing website to manage e-books (By an e-books we understand, at least, an .rtf document). On the front-end users, should be able to read, buy, download and print e-books. On the back office the system should allow administrators to insert and remove e-books on the system. Ebooks will be automatically converted to display online. This is what we pretend to replace. Besides knowing how to code the plug-in, knowledge of oscommerce platform is requested as coder will have to integrate the plug-in on the actual platform. Coder should deliver the development, installation and configuration on the current environment of the plug-in, in two languages: English and Portuguese. Plug-in should be similar to one of these. ## Deliverables

E-books will be entered in .rtf format (at least) by the administrators after reviewing what was received by the authors. The system will then convert it to PDF, images or any other format to achieve a good online reading experience and to be able to print if requested. The plug-in must comply with OSC language files format, in order for future adding of more languages. The Plug-in should: ? Allow admins to insert and remove e-books (in .rtf format) ? Convert ebooks from the .rtf format, maintain the page layout attributes and basic formatting options ? Allow admins to publishing e-books (make them available for sell/print/read online) ? Display e-books (similar to Google books or [url removed, login to view]). The display should: o Have page numbers and allow a natural page change for reading o Allow jumping to page x o Have a simple magnify tool o Have horizontal and vertical scroll bars o Button for ordering a download (can be free or paid) o Button for ordering a printing (can be free or paid) 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.

2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows? (depending on the nature? of the deliverables):

a)? For web sites or? other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.

b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software? installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.

3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
