Relaunch - Website Design & Development (With FBConnect)

Introduction: 'Virtual Flights' is the first online travel game simulated from a passenger's perspective. It is a network of virtual airlines and airports, allowing players to virtually travel all across the globe, without having to physically fly. It is completely free-to-use website. Current Status: Already in service for over 3 years, with a user base in excess of 9000 passengers. The game is currently running Version 3 which was a great leap from its predecessors. Visit the current website 'myvirtualflights'. About Me: I work for the Aviation Industry, and have built this game for the passion I have for Airlines. The first three versions have been designed, coded and developed by me, right from scratch. I am a Certified Programmer/Developer and SQL database designer. However, I am also a Finance professional for my day job. MyVirtualFlights is now a big website, and for this Version 4 release, I have decided to outsource the development (but under my supervision and overall direction), given due to various time constraints. Technical Specifications for Current Version 3: pHp, Javasccript, MySQL. Integrates YouTube, Google Maps, [login to view URL], FaceBook (partly), Google Analytics, [login to view URL] The game visuals are simple and text base only. There are no graphics or animations. This is not like a video game, and I dont expect it to be a Video Game. The Job for Version 4: I am now looking at upgrading the game to Version 4. While the underlying gaming structure shall not change, I want the website to support latest technologies, be able to run on mobile devices (Future development), integrate in Social Networking and be more graphically appealing (No, I’m not asking to build a video game). All content will be provided by me. a) Redesign the website, with a brand new logo. The rest of the website shall remain the same. Same Content, Same Menus… In short, its just a replication of the existing website, but be more dynamic. b) Use FBConnect to allow users to be able to signin with their FaceBook account c) Use Flash to be more graphically appealing d) Use Ajax to be cut down on excessive server requests and page loads e) Build a FaceBook application which will replicate some of the gaming features on the website, be able to post to wall, and share with FB friends. I will also be adding new modules and features to the game in the future, including a mobile version and iPhone Apps, and I want you to look at it from a long term perspective, and be a long term partner in developing this game.
