Our current affiliate software that we run on, while it works, needs a complete rewrite from top to bottom with new features added in. The current software code is written very poorly, cannot be extended upon and we are wanting our new software to be built using better standards and coding practices so that we can add new modules over time. Please be sure to read and understand this entire document before placing your bid as this is a serious small business project that can be easy if understood from the beginning. We will provide full specs to those with a rating over 9 or no rating that reply with interest here. We prefer to work with a PHP/MYSQL allstar that can crank out code quickly and give us working sections as soon as possible. An affiliate network is a network where we broker offers between merchants and affiliates. Merchants are companies like best buy, Wal-Mart, etc. Any company that has a online store that they want to promote. Affiliates are companies or individuals that will take a merchants offer and promote it for a commission. An offer can be a whole website, a particular product, or service. For example, Wal-Mart will pay an affiliate 10% of all sales sent to their website. Affiliate X thinks this is a great idea so he sets up several marketing strategies (PPC, Banners, etc) and begins sending traffic to Wal-Mart’s homepage through his affiliate link. When customers that go through his affiliate link buy something, Affiliate X gets credited with 10% of the sale. Language/Database: The software should be written using PHP/MYSQL using some kind of framework. Control Panels: There will be two different control panels programmed Admin Control Panel ??" this is where we control, manage, and maintain everything from offers to affiliates. Affiliate Control Panel ??" this is where the affiliates log into to obtain things such as their payment stats, news, and other items explained in this document.
## Deliverables
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):
a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.
b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
