My Ecommerce site has been designed with Joomla. It uses the Virtuemart plugin to arrange the products within different category pages. However, it uses Romancart (a 3rd party shopping cart) for the basket stage. Each Virtuemart product page uses some Romancart code such as the following to allow the customer to add a product to the basket:
<form id="form_1" action="[login to view URL]" method="post" target="_self" style="margin:0px;"> <input type="hidden" name="storeid" value="30839"><input name="itemcode" type="hidden" value="LB116" /> <input name="itemname" type="hidden" value="Baby Gift 1" /> <input name="price" type="hidden" value="32.99" /> <input name="include" type="hidden" value="on" /> <input name="QuantityStyle" type="hidden" value="0" /> <input name="quantity" type="hidden" value="1" /> <input name="tangible" type="hidden" value="Yes" />
<input type="image" src="[login to view URL]" alt="Buy Now" /></form>
This all works great but I have one page on my website ([login to view URL]) that I have not been able to add to the Joomla site as I can't make it behave like I want. I want it to behave like a category page in that I want to be able to add, remove and rearrange products on the page within Joomla. However, the difference is that the products listed on this page must not lead to a product page. Instead, when a visitor clicks on an image or title, a larger image of the product should pop up. Most importantly however, is that each product should contain its own 'buy button' underneath the image to allow customers to purchase the product without leaving the page. Some of the products contain modifiers as well which should not be over-looked.
If you take a look at [login to view URL] you will see how it currently works. The webpage in question is fully working but it's a static html page. I'd like it to be incorporated into Joomla and for it to look like my other category pages (for eg. [login to view URL]) but retain its unique functionality.
I thought this may be accomplished by creating a new template and then a new category page. Then duplicating each product for use specifically with that category. Then adding the 'buy now' code to the 'short description' part within each VM product page. However, I can't get this to work so I am seeking the help of a professional!
If you have any questions please ask them in a PM prior to bidding. Please send me a PM either way and tell me broadly how you will accomplish this and confirm that it can be done exactly how I want. Please start your PM with the word 'Lullaby' so that I know you've taken the time to read these instructions.
