We are using the blank theme for Magento 1.4.1.1

The default Category layout has 3 columns. We would like to just have 2 columns, (the center Column with the products and the right column with the poll, My Cart, and Compare Products boxes). If possible, we would like to move the Newsletter box to the bottom of the right column

We are using a wrapper for this cart with our Joomla site so the width of these two columns together cannot exceed 740 width. We are hoping that by removing that column that page and all other 3 column pages will be less than 740 wide. If this is not the case, please advise on how you would adjust the cart so the max width is 740.
