You will be given credentials to login once the projected is agreed upon by us. We want to make it easy on the users and readers of the site by maintaining black font with a white background. I would like the current logo replaced with the one from [[login to view URL]][1] . The other item to include on all pages is “More Than a Trading Platform?? that runs down the side. The first part that I would like to have setup is the main menu / primary links. Currently it shows the [login to view URL] url and I would like it removed. Please use the black area at the top below the Prodigio graphic for the main menu items. The main menu items include home, about us, forum, blog, video archives, event calendar, and contact us. The main “home landing page should be setup so we can place our content on it. Leave content area blank on home page. We will insert content later. One of our employees from the thinkorswim side has setup a prototype with wordpress at <[login to view URL]>? and someone else has setup [[login to view URL]][2]. I want our forum and blog as user friendly as both of these present. Additionally, we work with thinkorswim and TD Ameritrade but we are competing against them for clients. One of the sites they have created is mytrade.com. Please take a look at the site to gather more ideas of what we can do to ours. What I like the most about mytrade is how easy it is to customize your portal. You can drop and drag things and close out what you don’t want up in front of you. The other thing I like is how you can follow other or create groups. Depending on recommendation we will extend the project.? I will need to work with you on the types of files that should be allowed in the forum and blog area. I don’t want people uses java script and causing problems. I don’t know what else should be allowed or blocked until I consult with our development team. To begin please restrict to images. Only allow GIF, JPEG, and PNG.? As for authentication, it will depend on your skill set. If you have java experience, I will need a secure java bridge implementation to connect to our server.? Everybody should be able to read the site, however, only authenticated users will be able to post. The authentication is done via a java API. There will be 2 modes of operation. 1) A user directly logs into the web site from a standalone browser. A login dialog should pop up and the user is authenticated using our java api. To achieve this, a php-java bridge needs to be installed. 2) A user is using an embedded browser built into prodigio (java based). Because the user is already authenticated we don't want double login. We need to design a mechanism that is easy for php yet secure that we can use to establish a session. This can be done by an invocation of a special page or we can insert a temp security token into db. We need the below primary list of items completed as a first stage.
