Hello and thank you for considering our project.
THIS JOB IS FOR SOMEONE WITH EXPERTISE IN THE JQUERY UI MAP FRAMEWORK ( [login to view URL] ) as it applies to the Google MAP V3 API ( [login to view URL] )
If you are not familiar with the jQuery integration with Google Maps V3 API, please do not bid on this project. We require you have both jQuery expertise and Google Map V3 expertise.
--------------------------------
PLEASE REVIEW THIS LINK / SOURCE: [login to view URL]
That is our live server code that you will be working on.
As you can see, we already have the code written that displays multiple markers after querying the database.
We also have working the hyperlink marker (dart) so an infoWindow appears with the business address and a photo as well as a Get Directions link
We want you to leave that existing code as it is unless you can inform us why it must change.
--------------------------------
HERE IS WHAT WE NEED YOU FOR ;-)
1) When the infoWindow GET DIRECTIONS link is clicked, we wish to have the existing business picture swapped with a form element that says 'PLEASE TYPE THE ADDRESS YOU WILL BE COMING FROM' along with a 2 line textarea that will receive the address information they type and a Submit (VIEW DIRECTIONS) button beneath it (see attached image)
After they input their address, they must click the VIEW DIRECTIONS button to complete their form entry.
-------------------------
2) DATA VALIDATION MUST BE DONE: Here is one extensive example. Though it would be nice, we do not require it be this detailed ( [login to view URL] )
The behavior we DO require is as follows:
If no address is entered or not enough address information is entered and Google is unable to locate their address we must alert the customer by changing the red text (PLEASE TYPE...) to instead say:
THIS IS NOT A VALID ADDRESS
PLEASE TRY AGAIN
-------------------------
3) DISPLAY THE DIRECTIONS: Once a successful submission is made to Google, we would like the data that is received from the Google API to be displayed in the Directions Panel shown.
-------------------------
4) ONLY ONE MARKER OPEN: If the user selects a different marker, this should cause the previous marker to close and an infoWindow to appear on the current marker.
The following link shows you the code live on our server:

Those are the 4 things we need accomplished.
We will provide you FTP information to carry out this task.
Sincerely,
Jay Lepore
