Automatic website browser (from shell)

I am looking to design a script that will automatically browse a website and click on specific links from the Linux SHELL. I tried to create a basic LYNX command to do this but it can only browse one page and there is no way to tell it what to do thereafter.

You must be able to demonstrate a demo of it working.
