My client uses an MS Access database for their hotel room inventory recording and organisation.
We are developing a new website for them.
Read this bit very carefully - we do not need a fully fledged integrated booking solution, our need is very simple and very well defined.
From the website one query will be generated from a form - Is this room type between these dates - and only two answers are demanded, Yes Or No.
It is that easy. Nothing more than that.
We need you to enable that.
We have decided that the easiest way to do this is to get a MS365 account. Then we will have the in-house MDB sync with the online MDB frequently. (Once a day will be enough).
Please understand this is a clear mission and we are not interested in elaborating on this basic functionality, all other stuff will be handled manually, cancellations, payments etc and has nothing to do with this spec. The online database will never update the in-house database, ever.
Summary: Set up Access on a Office 365 account, import the data from the in-house database, set up so that the online database regularly syncs to the in-house database.
