Write some Software

It exists a real estate website where announcements of houses and flat for sales are posted. This website is a main reference for the real estate. The idea of the current project is to create a software who will read periodically the new annoncements published on the website and send a message via a web form through this website. The message consits of an advertising to promote the service of a real estate agency. 2 kinds of announcements are possibles : from private and from agency. It's technically not difficult to differentiate which messages are posted by agency and which by private. We are only interested by announcements published by private people (no agency). The sofware developped in the scope of the project need to simulate a search through the website (fill in a web form where we enter zip code and do a HTTP POST to start the search). There is no webservices interfaces, we need to simulate the behavior of a human using a browser (using WWW::Mechanize or a similar plugin to fill in and submit a form and read the results). The software needs to register the id of the announcement to avoid to send multiple times the same message to the same announcer. Programming language accepted : Perl, Ruby, Python (or eventually PHP). Refused: Visual Basic, .net The script needs to run on a linux server. The software can implement himself a sort of cron job or use the system crontab to perform regularly search. We need to be able to configure a list of zip code, if we search for a flat or house (dropdown menu in the search form), the frequency of the search, the name and path of the log file, the userAgent of the browser (by default Firefox on Windows). Configuration can be done in a text config file (texte, json, xml) or via a GUI. The software must log in a file when a message (timestamp) and to which announcement id.
