Personal Portfolio/Blog Wordpress Website

Background: I am interested in a wordpress website design/layout for my online marketing portfolio/blog. The design of the site is where I struggle. Listed below are some of the portfolio sites I like the most. The largest issue I have had is that since I am a marketing consultant - I do not have huge graphic design pieces or photography to portray on my homepage as an example or web header. One thing to keep in mind is that I don't plan to use this website to be hired from/business oriented. I am simply interested in a blog and showcasing my work and published articles for now. I have a basic working knowledge of wordpress and would be able to enter content myself, but would appreciate assistance entering main images. I am looking for a website designer that is creative with lots of ideas and options - and this relationship could hopefully lead into future projects as well. Project: - To design and create a wordpress website that I will be able to update and use continuously. Time Period: The time period for this project would be between two - four weeks. Design: I will send over my logo when bidding ends as I am still working on finalizing it. I like simple, clean, modern themes. I like the fonts to be a bit different from the normal ariel, times, etc, but still readable and clean. The logo colors are a deep purple with a light gray, but we can change to include in the website as necessary. The logo is really just my name: amy klatt. [login to view URL] I like this basic design layout (I always prefer simple, white, gray clean back designs however). I think something like this would work well except perhaps featuring a blog post, recent project and twitter feed would pull it together more. This is the page I am VERY open to different ideas and layouts on. 2. About - Subheader: A look into my world Text field and headshot picture. Something I have not done is had a photo album for my amateur photography. I would be interested on the designers opinion if that should be completed through a plug in or on the site itself. It might make sense to link a flicker account as a sidebar on about or blog. 4. Blog - Subheader: My blog posts, articles, quotes and inspiration Should be through wordpress. People should only be able to comment through social media login. I would like to review all blog posts first before they post live. I would like the blog to be able to link to video via youtube. 3. Projects - Subheader: Take a look at some of my favorite projects I would like a medium thumbnail design for each project, with text area to title the project. Once you click on the project you could be directed to a page detailing the project further. 4. Connect - Subheader: Let's Connect Contact form (name, email, message, phone). Provide my contact email. Provide social media links. - Footer - social media links, recent tweet, recent blog title - Sidebar - Dependent upon the theme and designer suggestions.
