Test & Debug Application

We have a Delphi 7 application that is used to validate software.

It is an EXE that prompts for details of our application, then "wraps" an EXE. When run, the EXE collects the users e-mail address then sends off to our server along with full details of the application.

This then validates the install, and returns an error message, or a validation code... and the application extracts and runs. After 35 days, this process kicks in again and the application is revalidated.

The program works GENERALLY fine but there are a few error messages we occassionally experience.

1) On Windows 95/98/2000, we seem to have reports of the Internet connection not being made. We get an error that the data could not be sent to our servers.

2) Some customers report the application "freezing" when the server is being contacted, possibly freezing up their computer

3) Certain Windows 98 customers appear to get a "Stream write error" message when running the program.

Generally, 99% of the time it works no problem. But with the thousands of different configurations and pieces of firewall software out there, you're bound to get errors.

We want a coder to FULLY TEST & DEBUG this application, wiping out errors as they occur. The winning bidder needs to be highly professional, very patient and thoroughly confident that he can handle such a project.

## Deliverables

1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.

2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):

a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.

b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.

3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
