Flash Components Network ([url removed, login to view]) is a site dedicated to bringing the best and newest flash components and flash files, both free and commercial. The basic ideas of the site are: appealing for authors in joining the program, user friendly for regular users in searching for components and the idea of a community!

We need a fully functional website as fast as it can be done. We started the current project with a team which we have abandoned because they didn’t meet our requirements (mainly because they failed to follow their own scheduled milestones). We would also prefer a new design proposal but it wouldn’t be any problem if some elements from the existing site design would remain.

This is a full time project and we need an estimate for the time needed and pricing.

It is a tight deadline project on a daily basis. The communication is a must. Only the companies/users with a portofolio and experience that fits our requirements are invited to bid on this project. More in depth details and samples will be provided and discussed with the chosen bidder

## Deliverables

The FCN web site features a user account section, where each user can manage their products (flash components) information. There are five tabs that can be edited for each product: Overview, Features, Samples, Help & Support and Downloads.

The Overview contains: the component thumbnail, text description, number of views, number of downloads, an add to alerts button, add to favorites button and the rating.

The Features tab contains one or more features. A feature has a title and a description.

The Samples tab contains one or more online samples. Each sample has a title, a description and optional a Download and a Preview link. An online sample can be an image slideshow for example. The user will upload a zip file with the image directory, the xml configuration file and the main swf file. The zip file will be unzipped on the server and the main swf file will be displayed in a pop-up window that will dynamically resize to the flash object (swf) size if the user enables the Preview option for the example. The user can manage an unlimited number of examples.

The Help&Support section contains one or more help titles and descriptions.

The Downloads section contains one or more download items. A download item has a title, description and a corresponding zip file. The download type can be free or commercial. If the download type is commercial, then the download file will be available only if the user bought the component. The free downloads will be public available (no authentication required). Some examples of download items can be: trial samples, fully functional commercial samples, limited functionality samples, product updates.

The next option for the user account will be the Tutorials section. A tutorial can contain text, images, swf objects, hyperlinks, code samples. An user can optionally submit a tutorial related to his products to be approved by the admin. The tutorial will have a title and a brief description and one or more pages. Each page will have a title, an index number and a body. For the page body editing we will use the FCKEditor that can be found at ([url removed, login to view]).

Another user account option is the Articles section. An article is like a Tutorial, but can have a more general purpose, that’s why we need to separate Tutorials from Articles. ( the adding/editing a tutorial/article steps are the same )

Other options for the user account will be Financial, Orders, User Profile, Alerts and Favorites.

There will also be an internal messaging system to facilitate the communication between users with a Compose, Inbox, Starred, Sent Msg, All Msg and Trash options.

There will also be a Community area (powered by phpBB v3) where users can discuss about the products.

The Admin can review submitted components, tutorials, manage commissions, can set coupon discounts per items or per dollar amounts, manage user data, user payments, view sales statistics, manage newletters.

CMS features needs to be integrated in the Admin panel to manage the website pages (html file name, page browser title, description, keywords) and content for SEO purposes.

All the payment will be handled via PayPal. After the payment is completed the user can access the download links (especially the commercial links) for the components he bought.

Other areas/features for the web site will be:

- Buy upgrade option (a product B can display a buy upgrade button, so only the users who bought the product A can upgrade to B for the special upgrade price);

- Volume discounts defined from admin; (on the user side there will be a Participate to volume discounts checkbox on the product upload form meaning if the product participates to the default volume discounts defined from admin or not);

- There will be an Exclusive product checkbox in the product upload form (if the exclusive option is checked the user commission will increase with 10%);

- Automatic commission will be calculated based on some rules or a Manual Commision can be applied for certain users. The commission applied for each user/sale can be switched at any time from the admin on Automatic or Manual;

- Resources section (there will be a FAQ. Selling, Purchasing, Tips, Benefits, MyAccount and Legal tabs ??" all these tabs content will be dynamically managed from the admin panel);

- The users having checked product alerts should be informed via email about product changes (new samples added, new download added, new features etc); Generally the system should dispatch notification messages in the system Inbox or user's email for certain actions.

- Html page templates requirements:

o Strict XHTML, DIVS/CSS based page template ( no tables ??" except emails )

o UTF-8 character encoding

o no Inline CSS or JS (except emails)

- The html pages shoud work pixel perfect on IE6/7, Mozilla, Opera, Safari

- Search / Advanced Search feature;

- Featured components area;

- Advertisments management;

- Newsletter;

- Components comments system linked to the forum;

- Referal system;

- Google analythics integration (ecommerce side also)

Technical requirements:

Php/MySql, Ajax (is not mandatory but will be nice to have some Ajax implemented for the expandable menu and other areas of the site), Html/Xml/Css.

The web site will exapand with new pages for the products, tutorials, articles so we need the structure to be flexible, easy to update and maintain as the site grows.

Fck Editor will be integrated on the user side for the tutorials/articles and on the Admin side in various places for the content management. The zip files manipulation on the server side is also required. There will also need to be integrated bbcode buttons (bold,italic,underline, code, link etc) for some text fields like components description.

Security is very important , the components comments posting, tutorials/components rating, buying and other sensitive operations should be done under secure login.

Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
