Project Description

I am attempting to run a 3rd party software program on my VPS system. It begins by opening up Firefox to login to a specific google account automatically. You can actually see the software opening up Firefox. However, it never does continue which is automatically clicking on the sign-in button and typing in the google username and password.

After about 30 seconds, I get an error message that says:

"Failed to Start up socket within 45000 seconds. Attempted to connect to the following address:"

When I type in the url in my browser, it never loads up the website, only errors to try again.

I was able to get some answers but no followup. Here is what another person suggested:

This issue probably occurred due to Firefox upgradable version but doing some changes in web driver dll file you can successfully run your scripts.

Updating through "NuGet" is what helped me. Firefox 47 and Selenium Webdriver [url removed, login to view] wasn't working. Checking the selenium site, it still shows "[url removed, login to view]" as their latest. Checking "NuGet" though, I saw there was a "2.53.1" version available. Installing that version is what got my Firefox 47 to work again.

[url removed, login to view]("[url removed, login to view]", "/path/to/geckodriver");

Searching the internet, quite of few people have also encountered this same issue. Please let me know if you are able to resolve this issue for me and what access would you need other than my VPS login access.

Bascially, I think that once you have fixed this issue, I should be able to open up firefox and type in the url and it will pull up a website page without any errors.

The Firefox browser setup is Firefox Setup Stub 49.0.2

I have attached a screenshot of the error message.
