Queue management website
Customer joins the virtual queue at a shop by either scanning something at the shop (eg. QR code), 'checking in' by location/GPS, or some other method. Website (app) then gives customer an estimate of how long the wait is until it is their turn and how many customers are already in the queue.
Customer can go somewhere else while waiting.. when there are say 3 other customers in front, website/app sends a message through the app/by SMS/other to notify customer.. and notifies again when it is the customer's turn.
Customer has, say, 3 minutes, to turn up at the shop or has option of asking to be deferred in the queue....
