I seriously suspect that your hosting account may have been hacked into. What sort of hosting do you use :Shared/Virtual/Private/Cloud? The errors have the possible reasons: 1. max_user_connections : This value is usually 0 which is to dynamically allow maximum user connections. If it is set for your particular database user, that needs to be reset to 0. 2. MySQL server has gone away: This is because the connection timed out without receiving client interaction. This value is typically 8 hours, so there is no way a timeout can occur. If the wait_timeout variable has been tampered with, the error may crop up. If the server has suddenly started throwing up these errors, then it has been hacked into. If it has been setup in the wrong way at the start itself, then the variables need to be fixed. Hello, more often than not the symptom is not the cause of the disease. I suspect you run some sort of e-commerce site? Either way, most probably you are getting a lot of bot traffic, which you can easily confirm by looking at your access logs. If the bots are hitting only one page in particular, we could optimize that or generally go through the mysql-slow log, provided you have one. It would be easiest to just block the bots by ip or user agent. I can give you a better estimate when more is known. Best,
