My approach would be to write a script that will copy your code + database at regular intervals. The copied resources would be transferred to Amazon S3 (an AWS storage service) as backup. Hi I worked with AWS for more than two years now. I can help you set up an EC2 instance (and other services like RDS if needed) for your website. The backup can be set up with SES If you don't want to pay for Route53 (DNS) we can use Cloud Flare which is powerful and secure. To be honest, I personally prefer Cloud Flare over Route53 Hope to read you soon :)
