Update Magento third party extension to speed up loading times

I am using a Magento extension that takes all simple products for a given configurable product and shows them in a grid for the customer to order. The extension uses Mage::getModel('catalog/product')->load() in a foreach loop which is very slow, I'd like to change this to use Mage::getModel('catalog/product')->getCollection() and loop over the collection. The problem is some of the data is not loaded with getCollection() like images and stock data (or its in a different format). The method that needs to be rewritten is a helper method that's used in the templates, so if this one method is fixed properly all should be well. I've attached the trouble method to this project so you can see what needs to be done. It builds an array that is used elsewhere in the extension to display the products. I will provide the complete extension to whomever wins the bid and you will return to me the patched file. Thanks
