I have a Magento 2 site with a 3 level category structure. The first level is Car Manufacturer (eg. Audi) the second level is model (eg. A4) and third level is year (2006 > 2012). In this instance all the car parts that fit an Audi A4 2006 > 2012 are contained within this category. I already have a theme that has been installed but I would like it modified to accommodate a vehicle registration lookup. Using the Reg Check API ([login to view URL]) the user enters their vehicle registration number and it is checked against the Reg Check database. The returned XML ([login to view URL]) can then be queried to find the Make, Model and year of the vehicle. Dependent on these details, the correct category is loaded listing all the products that will fit their vehicle. If it helps, I already have developed a function that retrieves the XML data ([login to view URL]).
