Hi,
Step 1
I need a simple function for wordpress which gets all the post id based on following criteria:
1) post category specified
2) the post is published
Step 2
Then it includes the post ids in a shortcode of the following format:
[wps_deals_by_ids ids="post ids here" disable_timer="true"][/wps_deals_by_ids]
where ids="post ids here" filled with random 8 post ids from Step 1 say for example ids="1234,2345,2365,857,65,25,74,78"
Note: The post ids are random as everytime it is being called.
Step 3
A shortcode is created where i can put this shortcode on my posts and eventually it calls the shortcode in Step 2.
For example, the shortcode created in the function is [this is shortcode][/this is shortcode] which i place on my post but it executes [wps_deals_by_ids ids="post ids here" disable_timer="true"][/wps_deals_by_ids]
Or if you have any other idea to simplify the above Step 3 process, you are welcomed to share.
