Add ETA for vehicles to existing Google Maps based tracking page

We have a currently running website which tracks a small number of buses. The buses drive around a few routes, picking up and dropping off passengers.
At each stop, a waiting passenger can scan a QR code which takes them to the page showing all the buses and their locations. Bus location is updated every 2 seconds, so it's almost real-time.
Each bus is running an app which writes their location to our database every 1 - 2 seconds.
The website queries the database and uses Google maps to plot the locations of stops and bus pins.
What we want to do is add an ETA onto each bus, to show approx how long until that bus arrives at the waiting passenger's location.
