Hello, thank you for reading my proposal. I have many years of software development experience for projects similar to this, including developing systems that communicate via MODBUS. A Raspberry Pi (RPI) would likely be an excellent choice for this project, due to its I/O capabilities, to periodically collect data via MOBBUS, then forward it to database and other remote servers via a TCP/IP network. Allowance for storage of data on the RPI could be made in case the remote servers were not available at some point; once that server returned, the RPI would upload any stored data that was read from the MODBUS devices during the server outage. I have developed a great deal of software for systems such as the RPI that run Linux, including real-time, multi-threaded applications.
Besides my excellent software design and development skills, my writing skills are excellent, allowing for professional, easy-to-read and understand user, installation, design, or any other type of documentation that may be required to complete the project.
Finally, I take pride in being quite easy to work with, understanding requirements quickly, and taking work instructions pleasantly.
I am available to discuss the project in more detail, and my extensive qualifications to do work, at your earliest convenience. I am also available to start immediately.
Thank you for considering my bid.
