Every year, the Constitutional Rights Foundation’s (CRF), a nonprofit, non partisian organization, is creating thousands of active and informed citizens across the country through our free Civic Action Project (CAP). CAP youth (middle school and high school students) are learning first hand how to identify issues they care about, take civic actions and connect their issue to policy to create sustaining change. Students and teachers use our free Civic Action Project website to deliver lessons, manage projects, share their CAP issue with others, and post-project videos.
The website is over a decade old and needs a refresh so we can continue to attract and impact thousands of new teachers and students. We would like to look at a new design for the website, make the navigation of the site more intuitive, declutter unnecessary information, make it visually appealing and friendly for students and teachers. The CAP website should be as fun and dynamic as the students and teachers who use it!
No one is born knowing how to exercise their rights in a democracy. It takes knowledge, skills, dispositions and civic action to truly participate in our democratic process. Our CAP students are learning what it takes to make a lasting impact on their communities. From creating crosswalks, to impacting homelessness, CAP youth are the change we want to see in the world. The CAP website is the hub of everything students and teachers need to know in order to take informed, engaged action.
We need a dynamic creative person to help simplify or website and take it to the next level! [login to view URL]
