Fix registration page slow loading after SMTP setup

The website is [login to view URL] and since we moved it to my official server and started using SMTP we have a problem with the time that specific pages take to load. Main issue: the loading time of the pages that request auto email sending such as the registration page, take long time due to the late SMTP respond. We didn't have this problem before using simple plain email(). Our hosting team spent quite long time to check and make sure there is nothing blocking the SMTP and they confirmed that the issue is in the code. However we still cannot figure out the problem. I will need to make sure you have the right experience before I decide to hire you to check the code. So please no needless bids. Thank you in advance.

Hey there, What service are you using to for your SMTP server? Sendmail, Postfix? Without knowing that information, I would start by running the top command to see what your system resources are looking like. If there is a service consuming most of your system resources, I would recommend assessing that first as it may be causing this delay.
