Integrate algo into script (php), and customize front end

Hi There,

I have a script, that is developed using Php 7 / 5.6.

Its a contest platform, where people can upload a picture (or video/audio), and get it rated by other Users.

But it lacks one important thing:

It has no 'hot or not' option.

Means, showing two pictures next to each other, and giving the User the ability to select one of them.

There used to be a site called '[login to view URL]

' (I think), and you were able to choose which pic you prefer.

Then it developed a ranking of the hottest pics by using the so called elo algorithm.

I want to have a function very similar to this.

The questions I am facing are:

a) How to count the likes Users give, how incooperate that into the website;

The elo rating algorithm must be the only rating function for 'hot or not' contests.

b) always show two random pics, or keep the selected pic (selected by user) on one side, and show on the other side another random pic., until user decides for another pic??

- I prefer showing always two new different pics to user; so there must be a function that ensures, that user always see new pics

(a function that remembers, which pics user has already seen/ voted)

c) How make sure that User does not vote multiply times for a pic, so ranking cannot be faked.

d) Control uploaded pics for prohibited content (by algorithm)

So, this are the issues I am facing and which you should help me to resolve.

Important is: All functions of the script must be kept as they are.

The 'hot or not' function must look like an additional feature. Please check file 'logic, ranking', this is my suggestion.

So, all steps the script asks for, before a contest can be started, must be obeyed:

Registration, uploading of pics /videos /audio via the script interface, starting contests...

The ranking of a hot or not contest must be also shown on the default 'ranking' page (next to other contests).

Please make sure that everything looks logical: pics for example must be aligned next to each other, so they are placed horizontally on the same level.

They also shall be the same size; so if users upload diff. sizes of pics, these must be somehow merged into one single maximum size.

Video frames must have the same size too.
