Australia Post Shipping Rate :
This plugin is the Australia Post WooCommerce plugin and gets shipping rates directly via API key. It uses weights and dimensions to get exact shipping rates according to post codes from around Australia. We use this plugin specifically for our Tyres product. Because shipping prices vary greatly from post code to post code it is the only way I can get a fair accurate shipping rate for all customers. Depending on where you live the plugin will get the exact price from the Australia Post Website going on the weight and dimensions of the tyres. This has worked well and customers do not over pay or under pay, it is fair for all customers as you pay the shipping depending on where you live in Australia.
Bundle Rate Shipping Plugin :
It allows me to bundle Items on a scale rate and has been extremely good at doing the job of adding an Item with $8 postage, if the customer keeps adding more products in the $8 shipping range it then tiers down so after 2 Items it is only $3 per item added then only $1 after this and so on.
The problem I have is the 2 plugins will not work together.
If for example the customer purchases the tyres set up under the Australia Post Shipping Plugin, they then have to checkout and pay for the tyres before they can proceed back to the website to add any “ Bundle Rate” products. Or products that use the bundle rate plugin. This is bad for any website to have a customer have to purchase and leave only to have to come back and re-purchase again.
The 2 plugins need to work together so the customer can purchase for example tyres under the aus post plugin, then purchase other items under the bundle rate plugin.
I have considered using the Australia Post Plugin for as the stand alone shipping option but it is hard to use for small items or if the customer purchases numerous small and large Items.
The best option if it is viable is for me to have a custom plugin made so the 2 shipping plugins I have can work in conjunction with each other rather than 2 completely separate shipping options.
You can see the 2 shipping plugins I have in the website.
