This google map [url removed, login to view] is displaying a large amount of polygons. Viewing the source you can see they are using a service called CartoDB. Zooming in on the map you will see that there are alot of polygons. If the map were using a standard GeoJSON file as in the demo [url removed, login to view] then my guess is that GeoJSON file would be much too large for a user to load each time they look at the map. This is probably why they are using CartoDB. I have a fealing that CartoDB has converted the GeoJSON/Polygon data into images that are overlayed on the google map, which is probably much quicker.
Markers/Pins are not required to be extracted as I believe this would increase load time on the final map.
A. Find out how CartoDB is storing and displaying the polygons. Is it GeoJSON or are they Image files overlayed on top of Google Maps.
B. Extract the colored polygons in the same format as used by CartoDB to local storage.
C. Display the polygons on a Google Map.
D. B&C needs to be scripted to extract data from the Original Map [url removed, login to view] so I can setup a daily CRON job to keep my map updated with the original.

So after I discovered CartoDB is displaying polygons as PNG files, I am assuming it is much too difficult to scrape these PNG files and stitch them back together for reuse?
The original map I would like to to use on my site is http://goo.gl/vXhDSG
Apart from the polygon data on the original map I would like to add my own markers and data (future project once this one is complete). So an iframe would not work.
Another website has succesfully hotlinked the CartoDB database from the original site and have also managed to add their own data. See http://goo.gl/F4QmsB
A. How is this duplicate site http://goo.gl/F4QmsB able to use the data from CartoDB?
B. How are updates on the original site http://goo.gl/vXhDSG handled on the duplicate site http://goo.gl/F4QmsB ? For example if the main sites CartoDB /viz.json files URL was to change, how can a duplicate site automatically change as well?
C. Is it possible to not load the markers? Would not loading the markers result in better performance?
A google map which shows the colored polygons without markers and is able to automatically update when the original site is updated using a script triggered by a daily CRON job. All code must be original and not copied from the duplicate site http://goo.gl/F4QmsB
