PayMaya Checkout Payment Gateway Plugin High-level Specs Introduction PayMaya Checkout enables businesses to accept and process credit card and debit card payments through a hosted payment page. It provides a suite of APIs that allows easy integration and provides customers a secured and hassle-free checkout experience. Features Mobile Optimized PayMaya Checkout is designed to be mobile responsive and user-friendly. Customers can view it without rendering issues, whatever device they may have. The PayMaya Checkout payment page also supports optimal displays on desktops, tablets, and mobile phones. Webhook Support PayMaya Checkout supports real-time notification on the status of your customers’ checkout transactions. Payment Receipt Capability PayMaya Checkout automatically sends out a payment receipt after a successful payment transaction, both to the merchant and the customer. Note: Email option is required on your account for this capability. 3-D Secure Support (MasterCard SecureCode / Verified by Visa) Customer identity is verified before payment processing, ensuring security and preventing fraud transactions. Secured Checkout Customer information is never compromised as data transmission is encrypted using industry standard Secure Socket Layer / Transport Layer Security (SSL / TLS). [login to view URL] Plugin Specifications The requirement of this project is to replicate the capabilities of the WooCommerce plugin to other ecommerce platforms. On the high-level, the plugin needs to support the following: 1. Plugin Configuration Screen 2. API Integration 3. Webhook Support 4. Logging 1 - Plugin Configuration Screen The configuration screen contains information about the plugin, API keys, environment configuration, and webhook settings. The actual screen might be different per platform, but the information should be the same with what the WooCommerce plugin supports. ● Enable and disable the plugin ● Change plugin description (title and description) ● API key configuration (public-facing and secret) ● Environment toggle: sandbox and production ● Webhook configuration: success and failure endpoints, token for authentication 2 - API Integration The main requirement is to perform API calls from the ecommerce platform to PayMaya Checkout so the customer be able to pay: - Create a Checkout API object - Redirect customer from the ecommerce platform to PayMaya Checkout - Handle the redirectionUrls from PayMaya Checkout back to ecommerce platform Redirect URLs control the user’s flow from PayMaya Checkout back to the ecommerce platform. For example, there are redirect URLs for the different transaction outcomes: payment success and failure. For payment success, the ecommerce platform should display to the user that the the order is ready for processing. Webhooks are essentially HTTP endpoints in the application that PayMaya Checkout calls after payment processing. The post-payment business logic, like activating orders and notifying buyers, are executed in webhooks.
