I'm looking for a programmer for a sports-betting betting odds comparison & sports arbitrage project. The ideal programmer already has previous experience working on such a project,
The initial phase of this project will entail writing a scraper gathering data from the website of three online bookmakers. For one of which an API will be offered; two others ([url removed, login to view], [url removed, login to view]) will need to be web scraped once every few minutes. Data should be gathered for up to 10 markets each on two different sports (soccer and basketball). The data from the three books should be matched among each other,based on participating team name (and matched for spelling differences) and used for calculations for real-time arbitrage possibilities. The programmer should also be able to offer advice on the IT-needs of this project and be able to advise on sufficient hosting.
The software is meant for internal use only. As such there's no need for any experience in webdesign or layout.
This project is the first phase of this new piece of software. Upon succesful cooperation new bookmakers as well as new markets will need to be added. Any candidate that places a bid should be willing to work on future phases as well; but the bid only relates to the first phase.
Bids that do not show an understanding of the project will not be considered. Please include all relevant working experience as well as any suggestions you have in what way you would write this piece of software.
