Hello, I read your project brief. Can you please tell me how do you get your daily reports in XLS format? I assume you get them via email. Anyways, I can develop a program for you in PHP which allows you to extract information out of your daily XLS reports and insert them in SQL database. You also didn't mention which SQL database do you use but I assume it's MySQL. I can also program for other SQL databases too if in case you're not using MySQL. If you're on a Windows machine then you can setup a task in Task Scheduler to run this PHP program daily to process your reports and insert their content in SQL database. Although I'm new to this site, I have been working on a freelance basis for the last 5 years mainly managing and developing a suite of excel utilities for a client in the uk. Your requirement sounds fairly typical of the sort of thing I've been working on. From the small amount of detail you've given, I would suggest a simple vb.net application or console application running as a daily scheduled task would do the trick.
