Hello,
This should be a relatively quick fix but it does require some specific skills. Please apply if you have a good amount of experience with Interactive Brokers, TWS, and IbPy third party API with Python.
I have followed this guide [login to view URL] I am using a Windows PC and have integrated this code into a file that enables me to do automatic trading. I've been able to place trades automatically at times, but it is not consistent by any means.
At first, I thought it was because of the order id being invalid. I have recently added a function that gets the next available valid order id and uses it to make trades. But now, even that doesn't allow me to make trades.
For this job to be complete, I need to not only see one successful trade, but a series of trades from multiple stocks, share sizes, etc. But if you can help get the trading portion working successfully, I will integrate it into my full code and troubleshoot from there. I'll pay once it can work consistently in concert with my code.
