Hi, Thank you for considering my Proposal. On your question, what is Alpha .. Alpha is the excess return over and above the index (on which the portfolio is based on). For example, for investors investing in US Equity market, the return their portfolio generates above and beyond the SPY will be the alpha. About me, I have worked with a hedge fund (D E Shaw) for nearly 10 years and for the past 2 years, I am working independently for myself. I understand Stock Markets and have developed algo trading applications for my clients. I have over experience working in Java, Python and nearly 20 years in IT industry mostly on the Databases side. I understand the importance of performance in fintech applications and have used multithreading in my applications. I have worked on time series data, built graphs (in JavaFX), mined the data to draw conclusions. I also understand Machine Learning. I hope to hear from you so that we can discuss this opportunity further.

I am a full-time trader myself in Indian Equity market, so suitable with profile. will be able to brainstorm some strategies. Will not be able to help in coding.
