Butter bakery is a new Persian inspired bakery and cafe where good quality food is valued and promoted. Most of the products are made freshly from scratch on the premises every day. As a business, we understand our role in bringing quality food in our customers' daily consumption to promote a healthier life style especially in this time and age when people are busier than ever. Butter Bakery’s unique produce is its Persian Barbarry which is not commonly available around the UK and is loved by all Iranians and anyone else who has tried this bread. Our aim is to re-introduce and promote the longstanding healthy tradition of people buying their bread daily fresh out of the oven. We have been trading for just over a year now and have received a very good response from local customers, however since we produce everything on the premises the shop has two large kitchens but only a small sitting area. So, our next plan is to reach out to the offices near us and provide catering services, also to provide our current and potential customers with delivery options which we currently cannot facilitate. For us to achieve these two simple and clear goals, we need to make sure we have enough skilled staff and our brand and marketing strategies are set out and tested.
The main portion of our current customer base is our local residents, we also have tourists who are either going to or coming back from Portobello Market or are staying locally. We are located 5 minutes away from 3 local nurseries, primary and secondary schools, with all the parents passing by every morning and afternoon to drop and pick up their kids. There are many offices all around the shop. We want to reach out to close by offices and schools and their parents in the following few months once we have enough resources to respond to this vaster targeted audience.
So far we have not concentrated on advertisement as much. Our plan is to improve our social media advertisements (Instagram: the_butter_bakery, fb: @thebutterbakery) as well as local advertisements. We are planning to make some changes in the shop to demonstrate our produces and visualise our concept of home cooked and healthy products made on our premises. We also are planning to register with certain promotional websites and apps such as Timeout, DOJO, toogoodtogo, Local newsletter (We have been on Notting Hill’s Newsletter). We are hoping to create a website in the next few months too.
So We need a highly skilled marketing assistant to develop the marketing strategy based on a detailed search and expected target audience.
- This will include researching branding techniques and promotion methods best suitable for the bakery/cafe.
- Present findings to the CEO and advice on the delivery plan in line with the given budget.
- Negotiate best offers for the jobs necessary to deliver the plan, i.e leaflet printing, branded packages, uniforms, promotions on different websites.
- Design and write up the content of the promotional leaflets and advertisement and update website content and information.
- Update social media channels, Instagram, Facebook and twitter and others. also to introduce a process to ensure they will be updated on a regular basis.
Depending on the skill set and the project plan, the pay plan will change. It could also be promotional plan that is % based on the increase in sale.
