VB6 Project Help: DoEvents/KeyPress + .wav Sound Muting

I have several issues with an existing VB6 (latest SP version) program I need solved, if possible. 1. I am using a loop with DoEvents to have program execution pause until the space bar is pressed to display some text. After the Space bar is pressed, the program displays the next line of text, and so on. I'm using a MDI child form loaded into a MDI container at 1024x768 res and the KeyPress feature to trap the Space bar ke. It works great...until the user goes outside the program to use the browser or whatever, When they return to the app, it no longer responds to keypresses at all; its basically frozen. I need this solved if possible; will supply source code if needed. 2. I need to mute the .wav sound output of [login to view URL] and the 'PlaySound' function for the running VB6 app if possible, without muting the sound for the whole system. Its to be used to mute sound effects for a game if the user desires. Please ONLY apply if you're an experienced VB6 developer and know how to solve the above issues. Also, please speak decent english and be able to come up with solutions promptly and efficiently. Thanks!
