I would like to build a program that I would be able to run from my desktop that would be able to access information from a website, search a pdf file on that website for a few things, correlate that information with information from an excel spreadsheet, and update that spreadsheet with the information from the website.
What the program would need to do:
1) login to the website
2) import the first project ID from an excel spreadsheet
3) put that project ID into the search bar on the website
4) find a piece of data on the first page that pulls up, and input it into the correct place in the spreadsheet
5) Go to a different tab of the website, and search that page for a particular link to a document
6) Open up that document
7) Search that document for a particular section
8) Within that section, search for 10 different pieces of data and input them into the spreadsheet
9) Go back to the website and search again for another repeat of the document, repeating until the end of the list on the site.
10) Go to the next line in the spreadsheet and repeat until the end. (probably a few thousand entries, at a time, but might be larger at times)

Hello, in 2011 I made several similar projects for my china & usa friends.
For better estimation of how much time I need will be nice to see the URL onto website.
Also is it important to do fast search if there are thousands of pages...
