To whom it may concern We are a recently new start up website that is in need of someone to help setup and maintain XML API feeds, and make updates to our apps. Our website and apps have been designed. What we need now is someone capable of setting up and maintaining information feeds from an external API and making improvements to a bespoke Linux based build, for our apps. However, the web developer we used had never setup or maintained these types of feeds before and is unsure if this has been done correctly. What I would like is for you to set up all new feeds – eliminate the old feeds and start a fresh. The feeds we receive from Goalserve are for 6 sports and are as follows (You can see the list of specific competitions on our website): Soccer Teams/players/ squad listings with photos and crests Schedules League tables Live minute by minute updates Team lineups Rugby / Cricket / Ice Hockey / MMA / Boxing, are receiving similar or the same feeds as soccer and will need setup to ensure we are getting all of this information. Our website ~ Sport Vote is a first of its kind. Sports based social media website. We want to give fans the chance to vote for their Man of the Match/MVP or winner by point’s decision. Users can watch a game and then vote on who has played the best or won a fight based on live round by round scoring. Our apps are available to both android and i-phone users. However, these apps need worked on. Every user must create an account to vote on Sport Vote. When they create their account they can share their opinion with friends via face book/twitter and other forms of social media. The website will also count the votes and when the vote closes ~ 24 hours after it begins ~ the athlete who won the vote will be automatically sent a twitter message from Sport Votes official twitter account. The project is not finished just yet but we are working hard to get it ready. We need the XML feeds to be dependable and 100% working. We would like to bring someone on board to set up the feeds as detailed above and then maintain them. For the setup I would expect to pay a one-time fee, then the maintenance we could negotiate an hourly rate of pay. At the end of each month we would pay for the amount of hours needed at that time. I really am not technical minded but I believe the website was built using Linux, ROR programming language/framework.
