Dear Sirs,
I’d like to express my sound interest in carrying out this job. I believe my academic and professional profile will allow me to develop successfully in this role. I am a seasoned economist –with a master’s degree in economics and public policy– with more than 10 years of experience in public finance, public expenditure, project design, management and implementation as well as translations from English into Spanish. I am a native Spanish speaker, currently living in Buenos Aires, fully bilingual in English and proficient in Italian.
In particular, I have been hired several times by international organizations (WB, UNDP and IADB) and renowned Latin American academics, such as Prof. Fernando Calderón and Jorge Paz, to translate their papers, books and lectures from English into Spanish. For the World Bank and IADB I have translated working papers, whereas for UNDP I have been appointed to review the Spanish version of the Global Human Development Report.
My fee is USD 0.08 per word, thus translating 3,000 words would total USD240.
Please do not hesitate to contact me for further information, I would really appreciate the opportunity to discuss my competences with you.
Looking forward to hearing from you,
Kind regards,
Caterina Colombo
