Front End Summer Internship

We are looking for two creative, ambitious, dedicated, and fun front-end developer interns who are motivated to combine the art of programming with the art of design. As a front-end intern, you will have the opportunity to become a great developer. You will directly contribute to our most innovative project, which will help you to understand the data science world even better. You will be part of an elite and fun team developing a world-class data platform. In particular, you will co-develop a business-friendly user interface for our data platform such that non-technical people can cheerfully work with this platform. To give you an idea, our data platform is programmed by Java EE and all the required actions are exposed as REST APIs. Your responsibilities include the translation of the UI design to actual code. You will work in an Agile team together with stakeholders to bridge the gap between business requirements and technical implementation, by taking an active role on both sides and defining how the application looks as well as how it works. Right after your internship, your contribution to our technology stack is very tangible and you can see the business value of your work. Of course, we are going to heavily celebrate your achievements together. Your profile: • Project experience with HTML5 and CSS3 and frond-end frameworks (e.g., Angular); • Strong coding skills in TypeScript; • Experience with providing and consuming REST APIs; • Have an understanding of Infrastructure (Docker container and Kubernetes); • Experience with Java EE and Spring Boot is an advantage; • Willingness to work with Agile / Scrum; • Good command of the English language;
