Hi everyone!
I’ve written a book which I would like to publish as an e-book and as a paperback through an online self-publishing service. The book is 67 A4 pages. The topic of my book is economic history. Since this can be a very boring topic, I have tried to make it more interesting by incorporating some psychology and cultural elements into it. The book looks at the topic from a philosophical angle and doesn’t spend too much time on statistics or tables. The manuscript is in odt format but I can convert it to other document formats (doc, docx, xml). To finalise my book, I need the following help:

1. Cover design for both the e-book and the paperback.
I have picked out some images that I would like use for the front and back cover. Some are my own drawings, which I drew while writing the book. The others are images of Rembrandt and Pieter Bruegel the Elder paintings. I will send all of the images to the successful bidder.
All revisions/suggestions from the graphic designer are welcome.
Please include the cost of paying the licensing fee for these images in your bid separately.
2. Proofreading/Editing/Layout design of the e-book and paperback.
Proofreading my book for

Grammatical errors
Syntax errors
Textual logical errors
Expression errors
Flow errors
Editing the text to improve:
Coherence
Textual logic
Expression
Flow
Re-arranging the text to improve:
Coherence
Textual logic

Interior layout & design.
Fact checking of the text.
Incorporating images into the text. There are some that I would like to use, likewise open to any suggestions.
Checking for copyright infringement.
Advising where licensing/royalty fees need to be paid, i.e. the images used in the final copy of the book.
As with the cover design, please include the cost of paying the licensing fee for these images in your bid separately.
Checking for infringements of personal rights.
Advising if any corrections need to be made to avoid infringing on those rights.
I don’t want to be sued for defamation, but at the same time if it’s something trivial/slightly controversial, I’m not concerned either.
Referencing & citing of secondary sources used in the book (web pages, articles, books).
I will send you the list of secondary sources that I used for inspiration & statistics.
Further sources will need to be added after the fact checking is completed. This is because I forgot to save every web page from which I collected data/statistics, so google will be your friend in this case :)
Typeface suggestions.
The final draft of my book is written in Comic Sans. I choose this font because it’s easy to read and because of it’s visual impact. Readers either like or hate this font. This font fits well with the polarising nature of my book.
Other font suggestions are welcome. Clearly the less mainstream and more polarising the typeface, the greater the impact on the reader.
Kindle conversion/converting the final document into epub format.
Publishing layout for the paperback. Trim size: 5.5 x 8.5 inches (216 x 140mm).
The timeline for finishing this project is the next 2-3 months, as I would like the both books to be as close to perfect as possible before they are finally released.
